Booking Options or Packages are how DQ manage the initial set of options made available to guests online, and are used as “Presets” when you create bookings manually.

Editing a Package

Different Inclusion Types

Packages can include 3 different things.

  1. Menu Items. These are items that will both show on the customer facing booking, but will also be requestable once the booking is seated. This can be used to create “Packages” of your menu items, or to add things like “Promo” Shots to bookings. Once a booking is seated DQ will track the the items requested and allow them to be managed by staff.

  2. Item Options. This allows you to provide options to a customer. For example you could add a option “Premium Mixers” and add “coke”, “sprite”, “tonic” as options. This will show on the customer facing booking. When the booking is seated the staff member can select the item the customer wants, and request it. DQ will track the options requested and allow them to be managed by staff.

  3. Text Inclusion. This allows you to create inclusions that are just visible to the customer. These could are just decorative options and wont be requestable by staff. For example you could add “Private Bartender” as a text inclusion, or “Free Limo Ride”.

Package Options and inclusions are always editable by staff at the door, when editing bookings, or after the guest is seated.

You can change the name of menu items and Item Options at any time to make it clearer for guests, when the order is submitted to the bump screen it will use the proper item name.
