# Settings

> DQ gives you a greater level of control over your venue configuration via the Settings page

## Branding & Options

#### Venue Details

| Property      | Description                                       |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| Venue Name    | Public name (used in hosted pages, email and SMS) |
| Venue Color   | Depreciated (do not use)                          |
| Contact Email | Email to which booking requests are sent          |
| Contact Phone | Contact phone number for the venue administrator. |
| Address       | Venue Address                                     |

#### Images & Logo

| Property         | Description                                                                        |
| ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Logo             | The venue logo in png format with a transparent background. 160px x 160px exactly. |
| Venue Background | The venue logo in a png format with a black background. 400px x 400px exactly.     |

#### Tipping Options

These control the default tipping percentages available with certain types of payment.

| Property | Description       |
| -------- | ----------------- |
| Option 1 | Tipping default 1 |
| Option 2 | Tipping default 2 |
| Option 3 | Tipping default 3 |

#### Times

| Property     | Description               |
| ------------ | ------------------------- |
| Timezone     | The timezone of the venue |
| Opening Time | The time the venue opens  |
| Closing Time | The time the venue closes |

## Categories & Groups

#### Dispense Points

Dispense points (or Table Sections) refer to areas in the venue where orders should be handled.  A Dispense point will only show orders from tables that have been allocated to that section.  .
They allow you to filter orders by section, but also layout tables and sections in the floor plan.

| ------------------- | -------------------------- |
| Dispense Point Name | Name of the dispense point |

#### Menu Modifiers

Menu Modifiers are used to provide more flexibility to a menu item when the choice is made with the client. For example, if you have a Single Malt scotch on the menu, you might offer modifiers to describe how it should be served. For example, with ice or neat.  Modifiers can aos have a price, to reflect that some modifications cost more.

#### Menu Categories

Menu categories group together items of a simialr type. For example, Burgers or Cocktails. When setting your categories, consider ease of navigation and search.

| Name         | Name of the category                                                                                                                                         |
| Availability | The timeslot the category is available. By default, the category is always available but you can change this to hide categories at certain times of the day. |

## Bookings

### Booking Options

| Property                      | Description                                                                                                  |
| ----------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Send Automated Communication  | As you create and update bookings customers are kept informed automatically.                                 |
| Send Seating Receipts         | When you close tables we will automatically send a reciept to the guest.                                     |
| Customer Facing Arrival Times | Allow guests to indicate arrival times on their bookings.                                                    |
| Allow Table Preferences       | Allow guests to see a table map when making a reservation request.                                           |
| Require Customer Emails       | Make email a mandatory field at checkout.                                                                    |

| Hosted Link                   | this is the link to your hosted venue booking website                                                        |
| Booking Widget                | this includes details of how to [embed the booking widget](/cms/booking/customer-facing) on your own website |

### Arrival Times

Arrival times allow guests to indicate when they will arrive for their booking. This is useful for managing capacity and ensuring that guests arrive at staggered times.

| Property | Description                                                        |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Minutes  | How many minutes after the event start time this period should be. |
| Maximum  | The maximum number of guests that can arrive during this period.   |

## Data & Exports

### Tags & Groups

Tags and groups allow you to categorize your customers and bookings. You can then use these to filter and segment your data.

Add a tag by clicking the `+` button. You can then add a name.
Delted a tag by tapping the "x" on the tag.
Different types of tags are available.

## Billing

This will redirect you to the billing portal where you can manage your subscription and billing details.

## Hardware

This will redirect you to the hardware portal where you can order hardware.

## Feedback

This will redirect you to the feedback portal where you can provide feedback and make suggestions about new features.
